The purpose of the visit was to enable the CAS commiserate with the families of the slain airmen, hold durbar with troops, and inspect facilities on NAF Base inl Minna. He also appealed to both the political and traditional leadership to call on the people to support Security Agencies in the State in carrying out their duties, noting that security is everybody’s business.

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar on Wednesday visited men of the Nigerian Air Force Quick Response Force in Minna. The visit came on the heel of last Thursday killing of 2 NAF personnel deployed on Internal Security Operation in the State, codenamed “Operation Mesa”. The slain airmen, while on cordon and search operation around Kopa, Dagma and Gagwa villages in Bosso LGA were killed alongside 9 Army personnel by armed bandits.
